Duke Cancer Patient Support Program's general cancer support group is a professionally facilitated group for patients. During this group you will have an opportunity to meet other patients with cancer; share, if desired, your own cancer experience; learn about topics helpful to being your own best advocate. Topics include: communicating, finding information, making decisions, solving problems, negotiating and standing up for your rights. This group takes place on the third Thursday of each month from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Teer House on Roxboro Road. A Caregiver Support Group takes place simultaneously. Dinner is included. Registration is not required.
