Due to the presence of COVID-19 in our community, visitor restrictions are in place for all Duke clinics and hospitals. For your safety and the safety of others, we recommend patients do not bring a visitor to Duke clinics, if at all possible. If a visitor must accompany a patient, only one individual over 12 years of age is allowed. Patients and visitors will be screened for symptoms upon arrival. Description

This postpartum class is designed to give you all the information you need for providing breast milk to your baby during prolonged absences (usually when going back to work). Topics covered include the basics of breast milk production while pumping, pumping schedules, how to build your freezer stash, breast milk storage, and supply regulation. Breast pumps and accessories will be available for hands-on practice. Feel free to bring your own pump to this class if you have questions about how it works.
