Duke HomeCare & Hospice understands its important to remember loved ones; it is how we celebrate their lives and honor our unique relationships with them.
Duke HomeCare & Hospice invites you to participate in the annual Brick Dedication Service as a part of the Service of Remembrance. This year’s dedication will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 beginning at 9:30 am and lasting for approximately 30 minutes. This year the Brick Dedication will be conducted virtually with a Zoom Meeting due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing responsibility for appropriate social distancing.
In order to participate in the service, each attendee must RSVP. To RSVP, contact Duke Hospice Bereavement Services by either calling 919-644-6869 or emailing Margaret Albert at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your name, email and phone number with your RSVP. Then, we will send you an email with the Zoom link for the Service.
How to Dedicate a Brick
You may choose to remember a loved one or honor someone important in your life by inscribing a special message on a brick or paver that will be dedicated that morning and placed in the Carver Gardens behind the Unicorn Bereavement Center. “We Love You, Dad,” “Beloved Mom” and “An Angel Among Us” are just a few of the beautiful words family members have chosen to commemorate their loved ones. Others have honored living family, friends and caregivers by inscribing their names on the brick or paver. Each brick will be placed in our Memory Walk at the Unicorn Bereavement Center on the grounds of the Meadowlands in Hillsborough and will be displayed virtually during the service.
To dedicate a brick or paver please:
- complete this order form
- make your check payable to Duke HomeCare & Hospice
- return your check and order form by Friday, August 31 to ensure inclusion in the September service
We will only hold one Brick Dedication Service annually so please do not delay in sending your order form. Your gift will not only commemorate and honor a loved one but also help provide programs and services for those patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses who turn to Duke HomeCare & Hospice in their time of need. If you have any questions about dedicating a brick, please feel free to contact Dale Horton by phone at 919-479-0318 or email at email@example.com.
