Balance and Function is a weekly, in-person class designed to improve balance through functional exercises. Our goal is to reduce the risk of falls and improve confidence in everyday activities. Activities include sitting to standing, reaching overhead for objects, getting up and down off the floor, and working through unstable surfaces in multiple directions. This session meets once weekly for six consecutive weeks. Educational materials included.
Duke Health and Fitness Center offers fitness classes and programs for both members and non-members. In order to attend this program, members and non-members must register prior to the class.
