U01 Endometrial Basis for RIF and PL (Infertility) - Clinical Trial

What is the Purpose of this Study?

We are doing this study to learn more about the causes of unsuccessful pregnancies. We want to compare samples of endometrial tissue from women who have experienced infertility with samples from women who have had children without fertility treatment. We hope this can help improve future options for women who are having difficulty with pregnancy.

What is the Condition Being Studied?

Infertility

Who Can Participate in the Study?

Women ages 18-42 who:

  • Have had at least 1 successful pregnancy without the use of fertility treatment or have undergone IVF only because of male infertility; OR
  • Have undergone IVF that has resulted in at least 2 negative pregnancy tests, or at least 2 biochemical pregnancies, or at least 2 pregnancy losses

We cannot enroll anyone who is currently pregnant, uses any type of tobacco product, has a BMI (body mass index) above 30, or has any history of a cancerous or precancerous condition of their reproductive tract.
