Latinx Teen Depression Treatment Study - Clinical Trial

We are doing this study to find out what has made it easier or more difficult for Latinx teens to receive depression treatment when they need it. We are also interested in learning about teens' and parents' thoughts on things that healthcare providers can do to improve engagement in depression treatment.

Estamos haciendo un estudio para determinar que ha hecho más fácil o más difícil para los adolescentes Latinx recibir tratamiento para la depresión cuando lo necesitan. También estamos interesados en aprender sobre los pensamientos de los adolescentes y padres en las cosas que los proveedores de salud podrían hacer para ayudar a mejorar la participación en los tratamientos para la depresión.

Depression

Teens ages 13-17 who:
- Identify as Latinx/o/a
- Are diagnosed with a depressive disorder
- Have been referred to therapy or given medication for depression treatment

AND

Parents of these teens who:
- Can speak and read in English or Spanish

- Han sido referidos a terapia o han recibido medicamento para el tratamiento de depresión

- Puedan hablar y leer en inglés o español

When you complete this survey, we will:
- Make a follow-up phone call to talk about you and/or your child joining the study
- Schedule you and/or your child to be interviewed if you and/or your child want to join the study and are eligible

We can do the interviews over the phone or computer in English or Spanish. The interviews will last for about 30-60 minutes.

We will pay you for your and your child's time on the study.
