What is the Purpose of this Study?

We are doing this study to better understand what happens when a person is infected with influenza (flu) and how people react to the infection.

What is the Condition Being Studied?

Flu Virus Challenge

Who Can Participate in the Study?

-Healthy Adults, 18-49 years old
-Have not received the flu vaccine this year

Age Group
Adults

What is Involved?

If you choose to join this study, you will have:
-4 Clinic visits
-3 Follow-up visits
-10 days or more inpatient stay at the Duke Early Phase Research Unit
-Blood draws
-Flu virus given in your nose
-Chest X-ray
