What is the Purpose of this Study?

We are doing this study to get information on a new device that can preserve donor hearts before they are transplanted into the patient.

What is the Condition Being Studied?

Heart Transplantation

Who Can Participate in the Study?

Adults who are heart transplant candidates

Age Group
Adults

What is Involved?

If you agree to be in this study you will receive either of the following type of heart:
- A standard heart that has been stored on ice, OR
- A heart that has been maintained on a device (unless a heart stored on ice becomes available first)
