BEACTIVE: Blueberries, Walking, and Health - Clinical Trial

What is the Purpose of this Study?

We are doing this study to understand if consuming blueberries and exercising regularly will improve vascular (blood vessels) health in older men and women.

What is the Condition Being Studied?

Vascular Health

Who Can Participate in the Study?

Adults who:
-Are 60 years old or older
-Are Overweight
-Exercise less than 150 minutes/ week
-Have controlled blood-pressure with/without medication
-Have a Body Mass Index (BMI) between 25-35

What is Involved?

If you choose to join this study, you will:
- Have up to 6 study visits and will be involved in weekly virtual exercise class for 12 weeks
- Be randomized (like the flip of a icon) to get either blueberry powder or placebo powder
- Be asked to complete questionnaires online and have few study test done in-person
