NRG-GU005 (Prostate Cancer) - Clinical Trial

What is the Purpose of this Study?

We are doing this study to compare two different ways to give radiation therapy to see which way is better for patients with localized intermediate risk prostate cancer.

What is the Condition Being Studied?

Prostate Cancer

Who Can Participate in the Study?

Adults with localized adenocarcinoma of the prostate that has not been treated.

Adults

What is Involved?

If you agree to be in the study, you will:
- Be randomized (put into one of two groups by chance like the flip of a coin) and receive either
-- 28 radiation treatments over approximately 6 weeks (Group 1); OR
-- 5 radiation treatments over approximately 2 weeks (Group 2)
