What is the Purpose of this Study?

If you agree to be in the study you will:
Be randomized (put into one of two groups by chance like the flip of a coin) and receive either Group 1 will receive 28 radiation treatments over approximately 6 weeks OR Group 2 will receive 5 radiation treatments over approximately 2 weeks.

What is the Condition Being Studied?

Prostate Cancer

Who Can Participate in the Study?

Adults with localized adenocarcinoma of the prostate which has not been treated before.

What is Involved?

We are doing this study to compare two different ways to give radiation therapy to see which way is better for patients with localized intermediate risk prostate cancer.
