Neuroimaging in Chronic Pain - Clinical Trial
What is the Purpose of this Study?
We are doing this study to compare the brain and spinal cord activity in adult women with fibromyalgia (widespread chronic pain condition) and women who are healthy (who do not have chronic pain).
What is the Condition Being Studied?
Chronic Pain and Fibromyalgia
Who Can Participate in the Study?
Adult women who:
- Have chronic pain
or
- Are healthy and do not have chronic pain
Age Group
Adults
What is Involved?
If you choose to join this study, you will:
- Come to 3 study visits over 12 months that will each include:
-- An MRI scan of your brain and spine
-- Behavioral and sensory testing
-- Questionnaires
Each study visit will take about 4 hours.
