What is the Purpose of this Study?

We are doing this study to help determine if a telephone-based program of exercise and coping skills training will improve outcomes in patients who have received a lung transplant

What is the Condition Being Studied?

To determine the effectiveness of an exercise and coping skills intervention for post-lung transplant recipients

Who Can Participate in the Study?

Post-lung transplant patients

Age Group
Adults

What is Involved?

Eligible participants will be randomized to one of two groups: (like the flip of a coin)
Weekly phone calls for 12 weeks designed to improve health behaviors, reduce stress, and improve levels of physical activity and exercise OR Weekly phone calls for 12 weeks to provide support and education about what to expect after lung transplantation
