INSPIRE III (Lung Transplant) - Clinical Trial

What is the Purpose of this Study?

We are doing this study to help determine if a telephone-based program of exercise and coping skills training will improve outcomes in patients who have received a lung transplant.

What is the Condition Being Studied?

To determine the effectiveness of an exercise and coping skills intervention for post-lung transplant recipients

Who Can Participate in the Study?

Post-lung transplant patients

Age Group

What is Involved?

Eligible participants will be randomly assigned (like the flip of a coin) to one of two groups:

- Weekly phone calls for 12 weeks designed to improve health behaviors, reduce stress, and improve levels of physical activity and exercise.


- Weekly phone calls for 12 weeks to provide support and education about what to expect after lung transplantation.
