Heart disease is the leading killer of American women today. But here’s the good news: by making simple lifestyle changes, you can dramatically lower your risk.

Below, you’ll find heart-healthy tips for women from expert cardiologists at Duke to help protect you from the disease. You can also browse through stories from our “Red-Dress” heart disease survivors, whose experiences prompted them to spread the message of prevention and hope.

You're invited to join us during our annual celebration of women's hear health. With Duke heart and women's health specialist on hand to share their expertise, you'll hear from survivors of heart disease and learn how to defend yourself against the the #1 killer of American women today.

Featuring:

  • Presentations and panel discussions with Duke experts
  • Health fair
  • Heart disease risk-factor screenings
  • Heart-healthy breakfast and luncheon
  • Performances by Triangle dance groups
  • Red Dress survivorship showcase

This special event is hosted by Mistress of Ceremonies Pati Darak of News14 Carolina.
