At this clinic visit you will meet with your surgeon to review the results of all tests and to discuss the potential risks and benefits of surgery.
This will be your chance to have any lingering questions concerning surgery addressed. At this visit you and your surgeon will decide if surgery -- and which surgery -- is best for you. You may watch a video detailing risks and benefits of surgery.
After watching the video and talking with your surgeon, you will be asked to sign a request form for the surgical procedure. You will also be given instructions to prepare for surgery (see preoperative educational clinic visit) and an outline of your post-operative diet.
At the end of the visit, you and your surgeon will decide if surgery is best for you. If you elect to proceed, you will be scheduled to return for a final preoperative educational visit.
