The Duke Center for Metabolic and Weight Loss Surgery is undergoing exciting new changes to provide exceptional services and care for patients. In November 2008, the program's outpatient clinic relocated to an expanded, state-of-the-art facility, located at Durham Regional Hospital's Health Services Center.

The weekly weight loss surgery information seminar resumed in January 2009 and is held at the new clinic location (407 Crutchfield Street). To register for a seminar, call 1-866-637-0711. Registration is required and space is limited.

Additionally, Durham Regional has updated its operating rooms and added six bariatric inpatient suites, designed to meet the needs of weight loss surgery patients.
