• Open seven days a week, 365 days a year. All five urgent care centers are open 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., 365 days a year, including weekends and holidays. In addition, we have special extended hours at the Duke Urgent Care South: 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., 365 days a year!
• Communication to primary care physicians. Auto-faxed copies of our office visit notes are sent to primary care providers within 24 hours.

We use evidence-based medicine to make the best decisions for each and every individual patient. This keeps the costs of health care down and gives each patient exactly what they need.

• Comprehensive, on-site lab and digital x-ray capabilities. This allows us to evaluate, diagnose, and treat most patients’ problems in just one visit. We have a fully trained, Duke-credentialed radiologist read every x-ray, and we can get STAT readings whenever needed. Our patients can assess both lab and x-ray final reports directly online via Duke Medicine HealthView.
• Access to emergency care, specialty and sub-specialty care if needed. If referral to a specialist is needed, we are able to provide quick access to specialists.  Patients who need emergency intervention are appropriately identified, stabilized, and transferred to the emergency department.
• Patient friendly. Patients are assessed within 15 minutes of arrival by one of our clinical staff. Our average time for a completed visit is only about an hour.
