Duke Travel Clinic offers two kinds of travel clinic appointments. Learn which type of appointment you need and how to schedule and prepare for your visit.

Brief Travel Visit

A brief travel visit is the best option if:

• You do not desire an in-depth (comprehensive) travel appointment with a travel specialist
• You are a traveler who is between 16 to 60 years of age
• You are in good health without preexisting medical conditions
• You are traveling to only one or two countries

Comprehensive Travel Visit

A comprehensive travel visit is the best option if you are at least 16 years of age and any of the following:

• You desire a in-depth and comprehensive interactive travel appointment with a travel specialist
• You are a traveler with preexisting medical conditions
• You are a return traveler who is an established patient of the Duke International Travel Clinic and needs additional services or patient education
• You do not meet the qualifications for a brief travel visit
