Duke's pediatric rheumatology program provides comprehensive treatment for patients with rheumatic diseases, including most autoimmune diseases and musculoskeletal conditions that cannot be surgically treated.

Our physicians frequently treat patients with the following pediatric rheumatoid diseases:

• Systemic lupus erythematosus
• Sarcoidosis
• Inflammatory uveitis
• Vasculitis
• Raynaud syndrome
• Kawasaki disease
• Lyme disease
• Wegener granulomatosus

• Behcet disease
• Fibromyalgia
• Scleroderma, including linear scleroderma, morphea, and systemic sclerosis

Our specialists also evaluate, diagnose, and treat chronic joint pain and swelling, periodic fevers, and muscle weakness with rash or calcinosis.

As a multidisciplinary team, we offer treatment that includes medical management, joint injections with sedation, intravenous therapies, physical and occupational therapy, as well as psychosocial support.
