The Duke Pain and Palliative Care Program treats many types of pain
including joint-related pain, migraine headaches, fibromyalagia, sickle
cell crisis, and other chronic pain conditions.
Duke offers a team approach and specialized pain programs to address patients' chronic pain. Our program combines the efforts of pain management specialists including neurologists, neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists, psychiatrists, physical therapists, and psychologists to address the multiple facets of pain.

About Us
The Duke Pain Clinic opened in October 2000. Winston C.V. Parris,
MD, is director of the Pain Clinic, where patients have access to the
Anesthesiology Pain Clinic, Neurological Disorders Clinic, Biofeedback
Laboratory, and other resources all at one location.
