The Duke Hearing Center delivers world-class diagnostic and treatment services to hearing-impaired people of all ages and degrees of hearing loss.
Our acclaimed clinicians, sophisticated technologies, and multidisciplinary approach -- as well as our active research arm -- enable us to provide patients with the most advanced care available.
Our clinical programs include:
- Otology and Neurotology: Diagnoses and treats diseases of the ear, including hearing loss, chronic infection, and tumors; disorders of the facial nerve, such as Bell’s palsy and tumors; and skull-base tumors in children and adults. Also houses the Duke Cochlear Implant Program.
- Pediatric Hearing Loss: Evaluates, treats, and monitors children from infancy through age 18 who suffer from hearing impairment.
- Vestibular Disorders: North Carolina’s only dedicated program of its kind to evaluate and treat children and adults suffering from dizziness, vertigo, poor balance, and other inner-ear disorders, including Meniere’s disease, mal de debarquement, and otosclerosis.
