Head injuries can cause hearing loss for several reasons. Injury to the ear drum or ossicles (hearing bones) can occur after a significant head trauma. This will prevent sound from traveling appropriately to the inner ear.
Head trauma can also damage the inner ear or hearing nerve causing hearing loss.
