About Duke Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery

Share

In the past 50 years, otolaryngology has expanded from “ear, nose, and throat” (hence the common abbreviation “ENT”) to include comprehensive medical and surgical care of patients with head and neck disorders.

Duke’s Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery (OHNS) team is among the nation’s busiest, performing more than 4,500 operative procedures each year -- specializing in areas including head and neck tumors, neurotology (surgery of the inner ear, middle ear, and temporal bone), nasal and sinus disorders, voice disorders, audiology, maxillofacial trauma, as well as plastic and reconstructive surgery of the face and neck.

Duke OHNS surgeons are also among the nation’s finest -- combining expertise with a comprehensive approach to ensure that patients receive outstanding care.

The OHNS team also includes leaders in endoscopic treatment for swallowing disorders and in treating hearing losses in patients of all ages.
