We strive to help families create the personalized birth experience they desire. As part of the acclaimed Duke University Health System, our labor and delivery providers are equipped to care for the healthiest moms and babies, as well as those who require the most advanced multidisciplinary care.

Duke provides expert family-centered labor and delivery care at two Durham, NC, locations:

• Duke Birthing Center at Duke University Hospital
• The Birth Place at Durham Regional Hospital

Each year, our general obstetricians, gynecologists, midwives, nurse practitioners, health educators, and other health care professionals manage some 8,000 gynecologic cases and 80,000 office visits. Duke University Hospital delivers 3,100 newborns annually, and Durham Regional Hospital delivers 2,400.

We also offer a number of specialized programs and services for expectant and new parents, including:
