Faculty physicians in the clinical division of general internal medicine participate in clinical research trials as investigators, often in collaboration with the Duke Primary Care Research Consortium (PCRC) and the Duke Institute for Genome Sciences and Policy.

Certain Duke internal medicine practices participate as sites and investors in these clinical research trials that offer our patients the opportunity to participate in studies that focus on personalized medicine, genetic testing, preventive health, chronic care management, and practice redesign.

Through these clinical trials, patients may gain access to exciting new treatments not available to the general population.
