Your internist will review all lab results that were ordered during your clinic visit. Preferably, your internist will communicate the interpretation of your lab or x-ray results through HealthView, Duke's online patient portal.

Your internist is able to identify if you have created an account in the portal. If you do not have a portal account, the clinic will send you a paper copy of your results.

If you have a HealthView account, you will receive an e-mail when your results are available for review. Follow the link and sign in securely to HealthView to review the actual lab or x-ray report and read a note from your internist regarding the results.

Please note: If you have a HealthView account, you will not receive a paper copy of your lab or x-ray results.

If you require additional testing as a result of your lab or x-ray testing, your physician will order the test and a member of the office team will contact you with further information on scheduling follow-up testing.
