Using the most advanced existing and novel diagnostic strategies and drug therapies, apheresis techniques, and other state-of-the-art treatments, the specialized faculty of Duke Hematology evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients suffering from a broad spectrum of conditions related to the blood and blood-producing organs.
In addition to overseeing Duke’s Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center and the Hemostasis & Thrombosis Center -- which houses the Clinical Coagulation Service, Anticoagulation Clinic, Women's Hemostasis and Thrombosis Clinic, and Pediatric Hematology Clinic -- Hematology faculty also lead Duke University Hospital’s Coagulation, Platelet Antibody, Immunohematology, and Transfusion Laboratories.
