Exercise has so many wonderful benefits to individuals living with diabetes. From increasing insulin sensitivity and decreasing your glucose levels to decreasing your blood pressure, decreasing fatigue, decreasing depression, decreasing risk of heart disease, increasing endurance, strength and flexibility. Our staff can help you exercise by providing clear guidelines for a safe exercise experience with monitoring before, during and after your exercise session. By providing you with individualized attention and setting realistic goals, we can help you achieve better health.
Our program includes:
For individuals not living locally or not having the ability to commit to multiple weeks, we offer an option of two different 60-minute consultations to provide individualized, realistic and detailed plans based on current health status, as well as both short-term and long-term goals.
Exercise consult with a Exercise Physiologist, resulting in personalized, detailed exercise plan.
Nutrition consult with a Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator, resulting in personalized, detailed nutrition plan. Nutrition consultations may be covered through insurance plans (insurance coverage varies from plan to plan) or out of pocket.
Consult Package combines both the exercise and nutrition consults for a reduced rate.
Our staff members are passionate about what they do and has the expertise to help ensure your success. Our Exercise Physiologists have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in exercise science, as well as extensive experience working with diabetic individuals who are exercising for the first time or are experienced exercisers. In addition, the program is managed by a Certified Diabetes Educator and also provides access to a Registered Dietitian.
