Cancellation less than five days for clinic appointment or 10 days for procedural appointment will be treated as a no-show.

No-Show Clinic Patients

  • New patients will not be rescheduled. A letter will be sent to the referring physician and the patient asking the referring physician to contact the GI scheduling hub if consultation is still desired.
  • Established patients will be rescheduled once. If there is a repeat no-show, a letter will be sent to the patient and referring physician asking the referring physician to contact the hub if further GI follow up is required. The patient will also need approval from the attending GI physician to reschedule the appointment.

Cancellation of Clinic Visit

  • New patients will be offered next available clinic appointment. If canceled three consecutive times, a letter will be sent to the patient and referring physician asking the referring physician to contact the hub if a GI consultation is still desired.
  • Established GI patients will be offered next available return appointment. If canceled three consecutive times, a letter will be sent to the patient and referring physician asking the referring physician to contact the hub if GI consultation is still desired. The patient will also need approval from the attending GI physician in order to reschedule the appointment.

No-Show Procedure Patients

  • New patients will not be rescheduled. A letter will be sent to the referring physician and the patient asking the referring physician to contact the GI scheduling hub if consultation is still desired.
  • Established patients will be rescheduled once. If there is a repeat no-show, a letter will be sent to the patient and referring physician asking the referring physician to contact the hub if further GI follow up is required.

Cancellation of Procedure Visit

  • New patients will be rescheduled for the next available procedural appointment. If a second appointment is canceled, a letter will be sent to the patient and referring physician asking the referring physician to contact the hub to reschedule if the procedure is still desired.
  • Established patients will be rescheduled for the next available procedural appointment. If canceled three consecutive times, a letter will be sent to the patient and referring physician asking the referring physician to contact the hub if a GI procedure is still desired. The patient will also need approval from the attending GI physician in order to reschedule the appointment.
