Who is eligible to participate in the DFC Lite?

This program is designed for clients who return to the Duke Diet & Ftiness Center (DFC) frequently, and for clients who return to the DFC for extended stays. Eligible return clients are those who have completed six return weeks since January 2004.

How much does DFC Lite cost and what is included?

The cost is $500 per week, which includes all meals and exercise (including gym and pool classes).

What's not included in the DFC Lite program?

Lab tests (may be purchased for an additional fee), classes, seminars, guest lectures, formal check-ins with medical, nutrition, behavioral health and  fitness, notebooks, and leaving gifts.

Can additional discounts be applied to the DFC Lite program?

Program discounts do not apply to the DFC Lite program.

If I miss a meal, will I receive credit?

No meal credits or credits of any kind will be issued.

May I receive additional services at the DFC?

Lab tests and DFC services, including massage, personal training, individual medical consultations, nutrition or behavioral health sessions, and certain evening activities are available for additional fees.
