Effective, comprehensive treatment for children and adolescents
Duke offers screening, assessment, and individualized alcohol and drug treatment to adolescents and their families in an intensive outpatient substance treatment and recovery program.
Motivational interviewing is available to help adolescents prepare for treatment, as well as individual or group cognitive behavior therapy to learn the skills necessary to cope successfully without using alcohol or drugs.
Substance use treatment services are available for patients from ages 13-21. Our goal is to promote a drug-free lifestyle with education, group and family counseling, and social support.
The substance use intensive outpatient program operates Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
