In an emergency, call 911.

Morning Clinic Hours

This is not a walk-in clinic. We see patients with acute illness on a first-come, first-served basis every morning from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. at our North Duke Street location.

Since we can see only a limited number of patients during this time, we ask parents to call before coming. Clinic phones are turned on at 7:30 a.m. and the number is 919-220-4000.

Triage Nurse Line

For routine pediatric health care questions please call the triage nurse at 919-220-4000 option 2.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Calls received by 4:00 p.m. will be returned on the same business day; calls received after 4:00 p.m. will be returned the following business day. For urgent matters, please call Positive Reinforcement Nursing.

Positive Reinforcement Nursing

Positive Reinforcement Nursing is our after hours advice line. To speak to a nurse about routine health concerns, call 877-514-6806.

Please note that Positive Reinforcement Nursing does not refill any prescriptions.

After-Hours Provider On Call

A provider is on call seven days a week. If you have an urgent need after regular office hours, please call 877-514-6806. The Positive Reinforcement Nurse will contact the on-call provider about your concerns.

Prescription Refills

If your child needs a prescription refill between appointments, please call your pharmacist to request a refill. Your pharmacist will contact our office for approval from your child’s provider. Please allow 48 hours for this process with medications that you take on a regular basis.

If you need a refill on a prescription for a controlled substance, please contact the triage nurse at 919-220-4000, option 2.

If you need a written prescription to send to a mail-order pharmacy, please notify us. Please provide us with your child’s member ID number for mail-order prescriptions. We can fax the request to the mail-order pharmacy, mail it to you, or you may pick it up to send to your pharmacy.
