ADHD Medication Management and Consultation

Share

Duke provides medication management and consultation for patients with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Our clinicians work with each patient to carefully examine how patients are reacting to medication and to determine if changes to the medication or dosage are needed. Often, we offer patients the opportunity to participate in clinical trials of new and promising medications to help them manage their ADHD symptoms.

Expert Consultation and Second Opinions

For children who have failed to respond well to standard medications for ADHD, our ADHD doctors provide expert consultation and second opinions.

We have two child psychiatrists with particular expertise in treating ADHD in children and adults, as well as several medical residents affiliated with our program.

Our experienced staff can provide pharmacological services as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
