Duke Raleigh Outpatient Rehabilitation is committed to providing quality evaluations and treatments and is an important part of the Duke Raleigh Orthopaedic Center. Our diversified, dedicated and experienced staff provides services in physical, occupational and speech language therapy. Therapy is one-on-one with licensed practitioners.

SERVICES
Orthopaedic/Sports Medicine
- Sprains/Strains
- Tendonitis/Bursitis
- Back and Neck Pain
- Post-Operative Spine and Joint Programs
- Arthritis (osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis)
- Myofascial and Soft Tissue Pain
Pain Management
Individuals are seen for comprehensive, integrative and holistic evaluation and treatment of chronic pain such as fibromyalgia, postural faults and thoracic outlet syndrome. Focus is placed on treatment, exercise, education and self care with the ultimate goal of independent pain management.
Lymphedema
Complete Decongestive Physiotherapy (CDP) uses Manual Lymph Drainage massage, bandaging and compression garments, exercise and meticulous skin care to reduce swelling and prevent reoccurrence.
Hand Therapy and Splinting
- Work-related injuries including repetitive stress injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome
- Burns, amputations or crush injuries involving upper extremities
- Fractures and nerve problems following accidents, falls or sports injuries
- Fabrication and modification of static and/or dynamic splinting for upper and lower extremities
Speech Therapy
Speech therapy includes the assessment and treatment of swallowing, voice and cognitive/linguistic disorders.
Neurological Disorders
A multidisciplinary approach involving physical, occupational and speech therapy for conditions including stroke, multiple sclerosis and Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Amputee Program
Comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach addressing the individual needs of the amputee patient with a goal of acheiving maximal functional independence. Services include pre and post surgical education, occupational and physical therapy interventions while collaborating with a certified prosthestist for fitting, fabrication and management of the prosthetic device.
