Research Interests
Ongoing work focuses on problems of immediate clinical relevance in renal and pancreas transplantation, including issues related to immunosuppression, infection, and cardiovascular events as well as hypertension.
Research methodologies employed include randomized clinical trials, cohort studies, and retrospective multivariable analyses based on the transplant database.
Current studies include multiple industry sponsored immunosuppressive agent trials. We are also studying operating characteristics of diagnostic tests for BK polyoma nephritis and the utility of resection of failed renal allografts with regard to mortality, time to retransplantation, and success of subsequent transplants.
This faculty member has no reported relationships with industry.
