Congenital heart disease occurring as part of genetic syndromes; other cardiovascular diseases with a genetic cause, including cardiomyopathies and connective-tissue diseases, such as Marfan syndrome
My clinical and research interests are in genetic conditions that affect the heart or include a cardiac phenotype as part of the clinical features. I am particularly interested in Connective Tissue Diseases such as Marfan syndrome, Loeys-Dietz syndrome and the Ehlers-Danlos syndromes. I am also interested in neuromuscular conditions and glycogen storage diseases that affect the heart. I am involved in clinical trials for patients with Marfan syndrome and Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
