Clinical Interests
Comprehensive treatment of childhood obesity

Research Interests
Dr. Armstrong's clinical and research interests are in the prevention and treatment of childhood and adolescent obesity.  As director of the Duke Children's Healthy Lifestyles Program, Dr. Armstrong oversees a cohort of over 3000 overweight children and teenagers.  Research questions of particular interest include sustaining effective outpatient managment of overweight and obese children in a primary care setting, and factors that determine level of reimbursement.
