Psychological assessment and treatment of medical/surgical patients, individual and group cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy, depression and anxiety disorders, behavioral pain management, stress management, biofeedback, trauma, sexual dysfunction, domestic violence, smoking cessation, medical adherence, weight-loss surgery

Research Interests
Dr. Applegate’s current research interests include psychological assessment issues for patients with chronic pain and/or obesity. She also investigates effective screening methods for surgeries including neuromodulation procedures, elective back surgery, and weight loss surgery.
