Dr. Taylor discusses his role as a Duke orthopaedic physician in this Q&A session.
Why did you choose to practice orthopaedic medicine?
I trained in orthopaedic surgery because of my desire to help people by treating their injuries so that they could be active and do the things that they love to do.
Why did you choose to work at Duke?
My wife and I both went to school at Duke in the early '80s.
After retiring from the Army, we chose to come back home to Durham and Duke Orthopaedics.
What do you find most rewarding about your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is taking care of a patient with an injury, surgically repairing the problem if incicated, and then seeing the patient return to full activity.
