Research Interests:
Clinical Gestalt is an Internet application I am developing to teach physicians in training using problem-based learning. I would like to study how this application will improve content learning and critical-thinking skills. Potential collaborators should have an interest in computer-aided medical education. Programming experience is not required but those with experience in asp.net are welcomed. Five residents from the categorical pediatric program and the med/peds program have volunteered to help review the user interface and the learning experience using Clinical Gestalt. Clinical Gestalt is locationed at www.clinicalgestalt.net.
Sedation for pediatric MRI's, CT's and other radiological procedures is provided by the Pediatric Hospitalists at DUH. I have collaborated with Dr. Kim Talikoff to develop an electronic sedation activity form. Using this form we will capture and analyze clinical and statistical data to help us better utilize pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods of sedation and anxiety relief.
