Dr. O'Connor is the principal investigator of "A Randomized Trial of Heparin in Conjunction with Anistreplase in Acute Myocardial Infarction, "also known as the DUCCS I study (1991).  He is also medical director of the National Institutes of Health Silent Ischemia Study (1989); and co-principal investigator of several other cardiology studies sponsored by Dupont, Pfizer, and Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
