Research Interests
Clinical Interests
Christine Hulette MD is Professor of Pathology and Neuropathology at Duke University Medical Center. She is Attending Physician and Neuropathologist on the Autopsy Service and serves in the Pathology Residency training program. She is consultant to the Surgical Neuropathology service and is expert in the post mortem diagnosis of neurodegenerative disorders.

Research Interests
Dr. Hulette is known for developing strong collaborations and coordinating productive research programs with the Departments of Pathology, Medicine (Neurology) and Psychiatry. She has served as director of the Kathleen Price Bryan Brain Bank, a repository of greater than 1300 well characterized specimens which are used for a wide variety of research programs. The Rapid Autopsy Program is unique, enjoying national and international recognition. Dr Hulette is global leader and advisor to autopsy and tissue banking programs. Her work has resulted in over 200 publications.

Educational Interests
Dr. Hulette is responsible for a Neuroanatomy course structured to meet the educational needs of Pathologist Assistant students. She developed the Neuroanatomy Web Resource.
http://pathology.mc.duke.edu/neuropath/nawr/nawr_index.html with a grant from the Duke Center for Instructional Technology,

She has served as Pathology Course Director for Duke School of Medicine since 2004. She played a key role in integrating Pathology instruction into the multidisciplinary “Body and Disease” beginning in 2005 and introduced virtual microscopy in 2007. Most recently she has integrated Microbiology into the Pathology curriculum.
