Research Interests:
Current research efforts include menopause, ectopic pregnancy, prolactin secreting pituitary tumors. Dr. Hammond continues to be involved in research relating to menopause and its management. Recent studies have involved multi-center use of replacement estrogen in patients with pre-existing cardiovascular arteriosclerotic change as well as endometrial effects of replacement estrogen. Dr. Hammond is additionally involved in research relating to clinical management of ectopic gestation, patients with pituitary tumors which secrete prolactin, and other problems of reproductive endocrinology.
