Specialize in causes, complications, and treatment of pediatric obesity working alongside local, state, and national leaders addressing the obesity epidemic

Research Interests:
Clinical and research interests in the prevention and treatment of childhood and adolescent obesity.  Dr. Armstrong participates in systems-based improvement models of care for overweight children and teenagers and training clinical providers on the recognition, screening and management of obesity and its comorbidities.  In addition, Dr. Armstrong collaborates with a wide variety of subspecialty researchers on the causes and consequences of obesity, as well as novel approaches for treatment.
