Research Interests
I am trained in dual fellowships in Hematology-Oncology and Geriatrics at Duke. As a practicing geriatric oncologist, my clinical and research interests include Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), especially age-related changes in AML. My funded research programs focus on maintaining the elderly patients' functional status through toxic chemotherapy. In addition to designing clinical trials utilizing novel agents in AML, I am also interested in exercise programs, and symptom management in the elderly cancer patient.
