Why did you choose to practice your specialty?

I chose to specialize in physical medicine and rehabilitation, also called physiatry, because it is an exciting field that uses many advanced and bedrock techniques to restore people to their highest level of function.

Duke University's excellence in research, education, and patient care creates an environment that is simultaneously challenging and stimulating, and will bring out the best that I can offer to my patients.

What do you find most rewarding about your job?

I am most rewarded by helping patients regain their functional abilities after being debilitated by injury or illness.
