Research Interests:
Neonatal Infectious Disease:
1) Early diagnosis of neonatal candidiasis in a prospective study that is enrolling 1,750 extremely low birth weight infants. This is a public/private partnership
3) Randomized, blinded, multi-national pivotal study of the treatment of neonatal candidiasis. This is a public/private partnership
3) Diagnosis of neonatal meningitis. This is a collaborative study with a large private practice group
4) Pharmacokinetics of antibiotics and antifungals in neonates
Improved clinical trials design in children:
1) Noninferiority trial design
2) Dose response and safety outcomes in randomized trials
3) Data transparency
