Clinical Interests:
Multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, movement disorders, cerebrovascular
disease and stroke, complex neurologic illnesses, neurologic complications of
medical and surgical illnesses
Research Interests:
The general focus of my work is clinical neurology and teaching, including the diagnosis of neurologic conditions and their specific treatment.
I am not engaged in any laboratory research.
I am involved in the following clinical trials: (1) Principal investigator of double-blind, placebo-controlled research study on the safety and efficacy of Betaseron in patients with secondary progressive multiple sclerosis; (2) principal investigator of compassionate administration of open label Ropinirole in the treatment of Parkinson's disease; (3) NORG neurology consultant; and (4) investigator for the collaborative study of hereditary basis of Parkinson's disease with Dr. Allen Roses.
My academic work is as a clinical neurologist with special interests in Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and cerebrovascular disease.
