Surgery for tumors of the base of skull, chronic ear disease and hearing loss, management of the vertiginous patient

Research Interests:
Dr. Kaylie's main research interests are in hearing preservation skull base surgery.  He has patented a laser Doppler probe that can measure blood flow in the inner ear and nerves during surgery for the removal of skull base tumors.  This allows real-time monitoring of function that was previously not available.  He is also involved in development of carbon dioxide laser tools for ear surgery.
