Research Interests:
The primary research interests of my laboratory revolve around understanding transmembrane signaling pathways regulated by the family of heterotrimeric guanine nucleotide binding proteins known as G proteins.  There are two main areas of focus.  First, we are interested in understanding the impact of G proteins and G protein coupled signaling on pathways that are not traditionally thought to be regulated by these GTP-binding proteins. The second major focus is understanding the role of specific G proteins in tumor biology, especially tumor progression and metastasis.
