Welcome Baby Program

Welcome Baby offers free parenting education and support for families with children from birth to age 5. At the Duke Birthing Center, volunteers visit all Durham County moms and deliver a packet of information telling about Welcome Baby’s developmental newsletters, parenting classes, discussion groups, car seat safety program and free clothing closet.

Program Location: Duke Hospital
Time Commitment: Total volunteer hours vary; however, one-and-a-half to three hours per hospital visit is to be expected. A one-year commitment is requested.
